Equipping the Found

I pray this site serves as a blessing to you. Its purpose is to equip the members of First Baptist Church of Robinson, as well as others who desire to learn and grow in their faith in Jesus.

In Ephesians 4:11 the Apostle Paul describes various gifted people given to the church, such as evangelists, and pastors and teachers. He then shares their purpose in verse 12, “to equip the saints for the work of the ministry, for the building up of the body of Christ.”

The word equip used here carries with it the idea of preparing, training, and making ready. Those who trust in Jesus for salvation have the awesome calling of serving Him and serving others. And this equipping process provides them the instruction they need to fulfill that calling.

In short, church leaders fulfill their calling from God by training and instructing every believer in the church to use their gifts to serve and build one another up. If this function is carried out, the church will grow up in maturity and in unity.

May this site be one avenue God uses to further ready each and every one of us for service in Christ’s church.
